Hiring INSTRUCTORS to work in North & Northwest Austin. Training begins early AUGUST 2024!
iKids Instructors lead group activities keeping fun a top priority!
Teach 12-15 students in classes like Crafts, Science, Sports, Cooking, Brain Games, Art, Chess, and Wee-Botics. All lesson plans and supplies are provided by the campus supervisor. iKids provides an organized teaching environment for instructors interested in developing leadership and communication skills with elementary-age students.

Details:

Pay range is $15 - 17 per hour
Afternoons 2:30 - 5 / 6:00 PM
Instructors work 6 - 15 hours per week (no weekends)
Part time following the 2024-2025 Austin elementary school calendar

Required:

Experience with children (like camps, coaching, teaching, tutoring, workshops, child care, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, instructional assistance, substitute teaching, or baby-sitting/childcare)
Maintain a consistent, weekly teaching schedule
Reliable transportation and currently residing in Austin metroplex
High School Diploma or equivalent, required; some college hours or degree preferred
Clear background and fingerprinting results
Ability to lift/carry 10-30 lbs and work in standard classroom and playground setting

Duties:

Implement iKids lesson plans in various enrichment courses
Monitor and maintain child safety on playground, during activities and snack breaks
Provide homework assistance and actively engage with students
Maintain classroom management
Assist in organizing materials and a child-friendly space
Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents
Support iKids mission to provide high quality enrichment, tutoring, and care
