Position:
Part-time After School Instructor
Schedule: Monday - Friday (5 days/week), 2:30pm - 6pm
Locations: Temple, TX

Job Description
Join our team at iKids U as an enthusiastic and motivated After School Instructor! This is a part-time position where you will set up and deliver a diverse range of age-appropriate activities each day to foster young children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have had prior experience working with children ages 3-14 and a genuine dedication to the field of child care. Some examples of applicable experience would be jobs such as camp counselors, teachers, or even daycare workers.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise children during after-school hours
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, our host school, and iKids U colleagues
  • Be a team-player to ensure all shifts are covered appropriately for staff to student ratios daily
  • Select daily preschool and elementary-age activities to ensure students are engaged and having fun
  • Work with a variety of educational tools and manipulatives to strengthen child growth and learning
  • Be a valuable, reliable mentor for our students' growth and a relationship-builder with our families/school
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment at all times for all children attending iKids
  • Learn and implement minimum Texas childcare licensing standards in the iKids U afterschool program to prioritize safety, fun, and learning for each student in the program
  • Attend ongoing (virtual and in-person) trainings to be able to work well within our licensed childcare setting

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's in education or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in childcare, education, or related settings preferred
  • Understanding of child development and behavior management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable car/transport to get to work 5 days a week
  • CPR and First Aid certification/willingness to obtain
  • Willingness to master simple digital attendance and parent communication systems for daily reporting
